Hunter recently won his first bodybuilding competition ever. He not only won his class, Heavy Weight Open Bodybuilding, but he also managed to win the overall trophy at the 2016 Branch Warren Classic, held here in Houston Texas.
Step 1 – Most important aspect of the calf raise is the contraction at the top of the rep, holding maximum contraction for a split second to focus on the squeeze will help build your mind muscle connection.
Step 2 – While letting the weight down maintain tension on the calf muscle itself, do not allow your ankles roll in, if this happens you have gone too low taking the tension off the muscle and placing it more tension towards the tendon.
Step 3 – Pick a weight you can control through the entire range of motion for every single rep. Focusing the tension solely on the calf muscle.
