3 Techniques to Achieve GREAT Calves
In today’s episode, Danny talks about a fantastic exercise for developing the most STUBBORN muscle of our body… our calves. Give this exercise a try and let us know how you like it!
– Wrap a dip belt around your body and link to KB/DB
– Stand on a plate with ball of your feet at the end of plate
– Lean your hands forward against a barbell, bench, or wall
– Keep KB/DB in front directly under the middle of your waist
– Lengthen calves by bringing heels down to the floor
– Walk hands down until you don’t feel anything in lower back
– Stand on toes and squeeze calf at the top
– Shorten/Contract your calves
– Think about pulling your heel into your hamstring
– Control back down to a full stretch
– 4-5 sets 12-20 reps
– Earlier in your leg workout
– Before you squat
– Helps improve ankle mobility
