Seated Calf Raises
Sit on the seated calf raise machine and place the balls of your feet on the foot plate so that your heels are hanging off the edge. Place the knee pad on your knees and unrack the weights.
Movement
Drop your heels as low as possible to get a good stretch in your calves. Lift your heels by contracting your calf muscles to raise the weight as high as possible. Hold the position for a second and then lower to your starting position. Perform as many reps as necessary for the desired results.
Safety Tips
– Monitor your lumbar spine, pelvic, knee and ankle positioning.
– Cue calves.
– Spot on machine pads.
