We often forget about the muscles at the bottom of our leg, but boy are they important! Not only are our calf muscles incredibly important for walking and balance, but they also help circulate blood back up through the body to the heart, ready to be pushed out again! For seniors, this is doubly important as we tend to get more sedentary as life goes on. There are plenty of variations to this otherwise VERY safe exercise – give them a go when you feel comfortable!
