Ankle exercise – Seated calf raise | heel raise

The Seated calf raise or heel raise is used to strengthen the Soleus muscle, the athlete performs a heel raise in a seated position. Bending the knee relaxes the overlying Gastrocnemius. A bar weight can be added to the thighs to increase difficulty.
